PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knee protector for a vehicle, which knee protector can reduce its weight without deteriorating its performance. SOLUTION: Knee protecting main brackets 42 capable of absorbing the force to be input to the knees of a crew member having an average physique are attached to a strengthening member 32 of a car body, the strengthening member being extended nearly in the width direction 31 of the vehicle. Further, a knee protecting auxiliary bracket 47 capable of absorbing the force to be input to the knees of the crew member having the average physique is attached to a steering column 34 which elongates nearly in the front and rear direction 35 of the vehicle and is supported below the strengthening member 32 of the car body. Knee receiving members 55 for receiving one side knee of the crew member are arranged between the knee protecting main brackets 42 and the knee protecting auxiliary bracket 47. Further, the knee receiving members 55 are composed of thin film members 56 capable of absorbing the force to be input to the knees of the crew member having a smaller physique.
