<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a button for clothes which is capable of maintaining the standability of the button for clothes over a long period of time even when the button for clothes is used for many times. <P>SOLUTION: The button for clothes comprises a button body 11 and a foot portion 12 projecting downward in a ring-shape toward the base of the button body 11. The foot portion 12 is provided with grooves 17 formed for receiving thread to be fixed to the clothes 2.
