<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device avoiding the switching of a paper storage portion due to shortage of remaining paper as far as possible. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device comprises a paper storage portion 6 with a plurality of stages for stacking and storing paper sheets, a paper feeding checking means 32 determining whether a paper storage portion of each stage satisfies a predetermined image forming condition or not, and an image forming executing means 62 executing image forming to the determined paper storage portion. The paper feeding checking means includes a paper remaining amount detecting means 38 detecting the paper remaining amount in the paper storage portion of each state, and a priority order deciding means 40 giving the paper storage portion having the much remaining amount of the paper priority over the paper storage portion with the little remaining amount of the paper, and deciding an order for determining whether the image forming condition is satisfied or not. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
