<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method in which an insertion member equipped with form adaptability and an introduction member equipped with torque transmissibility, of which chemical composition differs, can be easily joined with suppressing the elevation of production cost. <P>SOLUTION: In the method of producing a core material for a medical guide wire in which the insertion member 1 equipped with the form adaptability and the introduction member 2 equipped with the torque transmissibility, of which chemical composition differs, is integrally joined by a tubular junction member 3, thin diameter sections 1a and 2a are formed in the end portions of the insertion member 1 and the introduction member 2 by cutting along the circumference aspects of the end portions of the insertion member 1 and the introduction member 2, these thin diameter sections 1a and 2a are inserted in the tubular junction member 3, the thin diameter section 1a of the insertion member 1 and the thin diameter section 2a of the introduction member 2 are welded to the tubular junction member 3 by irradiating a laser beam to the tubular junction member 3, and the end faces of the insertion member 1 and the introduction member 2 except the thin diameter sections 1a and 2a, which appear by cutting, are welded to both the end faces of the tubular junction member 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
