PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily measure a jitter/wander amount of an input video signal at all times in video equipment which processes the input video signal synchronously with an external reference signal. SOLUTION: The video equipment is equipped with: a FIFO memory 15 for phase compensation into which an input video signal is written synchronously with a clock demodulated from the input video signal and from which a video signal is read out synchronously with a reference clock, within the equipment, generated from an external reference signal; and a measuring means 16 which acquires a data amount of video signals within the FIFO memory 15 and measures the jitter/wander amount of the input video signal based on calculating a differential between the acquired data amount and a predetermined reference amount.
