摘要 The present invention relates to the use of adsorbent microporous carbon material (AMC), obtained from the pyrolysis of copolymers generically known under the name Saran, in adsorption processes for reducing the benzene conte nt of hydrocarbon flows with a distillation temperature corresponding to tha t of gasoline, between 27 and 191 ºC, which processes preferably first invol ve distillation separation of the C6's fraction, and afterwards separation o f the Benzene by adsorption through a bed of adsorbent material, thereby obt aining the C6's fraction free of Benzene and adsorbent with Benzene, which i s subsequently regenerated by means of desorption by pressure or temperature changes, or by displacement through a desorbent such as inert gas at high t emperature, wherein the desorbent containing the Benzene is fed into a disti llation section in order to separate the Benzene from the desorbent, resulti ng in Benzene and desorbent.
