<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect side collision caused by side slipping of a vehicle for a short time while suppressing increase in the weight and cost. <P>SOLUTION: A collision detection sensor 110 is arranged in an optimal position at a pole side projecting angle inclined from the vehicle body width direction to the vehicle body front side passing through a head part 72 of a driver 70. In addition, the collision detection sensor 110 is moved to be located in or in the vicinity of the optimal position even when the position of the head part 72 in the vehicle body longitudinal direction is changed by changing a seat position etc. by the driver 70 in accordance with his/her physique. Therefore, even if the vehicle body 10 is laterally slipped, slantly laterally collided with a pole-shaped obstacle P and is locally deformed due to the side collision, the collision detection sensor 110 is all the time arranged in or in the vicinity of the optimal position at the pole side projecting angle, and the side collision can be detected for a short time.
