PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display panel capable of enhancing its appearance, without deteriorating the designability, even if a through hole is provided. SOLUTION: This electrophoresis display panel 10 has a transparent substrate 20 having translucency, a display substrate 30 counterposed to the transparent substrate, and an electrophoresis layer 40, arranged in between the transparent substrate and the display substrate, and is constituted so that the electrophoresis layer can be identified visually from the transparent substrate. A through hole 50, penetrating from the transparent substrate up to the display substrate, is formed, and the perimeter part of the through hole, facing the through hole in between the transparent substrate and the display substrate, is filled up with sealing material 60 for partitioning the electrophoresis layer from the through hole. On the exterior surface of the transparent substrate 20, a non-display area where display by the electrophoresis layer 40 is not performed is formed with the sealing material 60, and this non-display area is worked into a ground-glasslike uneven surface. Accordingly, since the sealing material 60 cannot be seen clearly from the transparent substrate 20, designability will not deteriorate, and the appearance of the display panel 10 is enhanced.
