It is intended to provide a process for producing a large amount of a recombinant protein by the liquid culture method with the use of a koji mold as a host. Namely, a process for producing a recombinant protein by using a recombinant koji mold which is obtained by transforming a koji mold employed as a host, characterized by comprising culturing the recombinant koji mold in a liquid medium containing at least one starting material for the culture selected from among cereals which are entirely or partly surface-coated with the seed coat, beans and/or potatoes which are surface-coated with the outer skin, and amaranthus and/or quinua having been subjected to no pretreatment (for example, grinding or milling), and then harvesting the recombinant protein from the culture. |
