<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal device capable of shortening the backup time duration and reducing power consumption and a communication cost, when the data saved at HDD in the portable terminal device is transmitted to a server outside the portable terminal device to do backing up of data. <P>SOLUTION: The portable terminal device comprises a HDD 5 for saving data, a wireless LAN communication control portion 4b, capable of periodically transmitting the data saved at the HDD 5 by wireless, and an antenna 3b.
