PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gatepost of a rotary gate, which enables the opening/closing angle and opening direction of a gate body to be changed even after the installation of the gatepost. SOLUTION: When the case of the use of a movable stopper 21 (see Fig. 8(a)) is compared with that of the use of the movable stopper 31 (see Fig. 8(c)), the circumferential length of a butting portion 31c of the movable stopper 31 is shorter than that of a butting portion 21c of the movable stopper 21. Thus, a circumferential interval between the movable stopper 31 and a fixed stopper 22 becomes relatively longer by just that much than a circumferential interval between the movable stopper 21 and the fixed stopper 22, so that a range of a rotational angle of a rotary member 5 with respect to a fixed support 4 can be enlarged. Consequently, even if the change of the design occurs in terms of the opening and closing angle and opening direction of the gate body 2, for example, after the installation of the gatepost 3, posterior modification and change after the installation of the gatepost 3 can be easily performed without the need for the execution of work for the removal and reinstallation of the installed gatepost 3.
