An absorption type cold and hot water heater having an absorbing liquid refining device is provided to improve the efficiency by continuously refining absorbing liquid although the absorption type cold and hot water heater is stopped, and by refining absorbing liquid in advance before restarting the absorption type cold and hot water heater. An absorption type cold and hot water heater includes a shell(S), an evaporator having a first tube(6), a refrigerant receiver(2) installed under the evaporator, a refrigerant tank(3) connected to the refrigerant receiver, an absorber(7) having a second tube(8), an absorbing liquid pump(9) and a regenerator pump(9') installed under the shell, low and high temperature heat exchangers(10,11) connected to the regenerator pump, a high temperature regenerator(12) connected by way of the heat exchangers and a low temperature regenerator(13) having a third tube(14). An absorbing liquid inflow pipe(110) is connected to a lower end of the shell, wherein one end of the absorbing liquid inflow pipe is connected to the inside of the shell while the other end is connected to the absorbing liquid pump to pump absorbing liquid. The absorbing liquid pump is connected to an absorbing liquid waste filter device(120) with a connecting pipe(121). Absorbing liquid introduced into the absorbing liquid waste filter device is filtered and sent to the shell through a refined absorbing liquid discharge pipe(140).
