<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a box fixture and an attachment method of the box fixture for facilitating a work for installing distributing boxes, having different depths without the use of jig. <P>SOLUTION: An attaching section 21 in the box fixture 10 is formed with a reference section 22 for making a fixing piece 11 mate with a wall front face Pa of a light steel gauge material P and placing the fixing piece in a first position, and provided with a first inner edge 23c of an elongate hole 23 for indicating a second position of the fixing piece 11 placed in the back of the wall closer than the first position so as to coplanarly place the front face of the distributing box, fixed to the fixing piece 11, on the wall front face Pa of the light steel gauge material P.
