PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support structure of a reactor pressure vessel which can effectively decrease the stress developed in a support structure section. SOLUTION: The structure where a body 6 of the reactor pressure vessel 4 is supported on a supporting section 3 placed on the foundation of a reactor building via the support structure section 5 is characterized in that the support structure section 5 includes a support 7 mounted in an extended or protruding state on the outer periphery of the body 6 and intermediate support members 10 and 13 allowed to intervene between the support 7 and the supporting section 3 and that the intermediate support members 10 and 13 have the function of turning as the body 6 expands or contracts in a radial direction.
