PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressor capable of preventing drop of an oil level surface of lubricating oil in a hermetic vessel and discharge of lubricating oil to the hermetic vessel. SOLUTION: A delivery opening part 20 delivering refrigerant gas into the hermetic vessel 1 is positioned between a first plane S1 including a center of one of teeth 512 of adjoining teeth 512 of a stator core 510 and an axis 510a of the stator core 510, and a second plane S2 including a center of another of teeth 512 of the adjoining teeth 512 and the axis 510a of the stator core 510. Refrigerant gas discharged from the delivery opening 20 can be led to a part between a winding part 520 wound around one of teeth 512 and a winding part 520 wound around another of the teeth 512. Collision of the refrigerant gas on the winding part 520 end part is reduced and turbulence of the refrigerant gas flow is reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
