PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method for discharging a coating solution from nozzle discharge ports as liquid droplets using at least two ink jet heads to perform coating, to achieve the uniformization of film thickness at the time of formation of the thin film by coating with the liquid droplets and improving the film thickness defectiveness caused by the timing lag of coating caused at a connection part between heads, and a coating apparatus. SOLUTION: When the coating solution is injected on a continuous material 10 to be coated as liquid droplets from the nozzle discharge ports using and least two ink jet heads 211-215, the amplitude emitted by an ultrasonic oscillator F is propagated to the connection parts of the heads coated simultaneously with the start of coating to uniformize the thickness of the coating film.
