<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a software license management system for automatically executing the collation of a storage license and a use license by providing the recognition means of the use permission information of purchase software. <P>SOLUTION: This system is installed in a server 3 of a client server system, and configured to judge the validity/invalidity of software use circumstances by retrieving the number of the storage software and the number of use software of this system. This system is provided with an information collection processing part 4 equipped with an inventory collection function 4a and a use permission information collection function 4b; a use permission condition extraction processing part 5 for extracting permission conditions from the use permission information; a use permission content discrimination processing part 6 for discriminating the extracted permission conditions; a use circumstance inspection processing part 7 equipped with a storage number check function 7a and an available number check function 7b and various DB 8 to 19.
