PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floating disk brake capable of preventing vibration of a caliper effectively as well as without affecting the posture of pads. SOLUTION: The floating disk brake 1 includes a mount 2 attached to a member of a vehicle, the caliper 3 movably attached to the mount 2 and straddling over a disk rotor R in the axial direction and a piston received in the caliper 3. In the floating disk brake 1, a pair of pads 5 are pressed against the disk rotor R by the piston and claws formed on the caliper 3. Elastic members 6 which elastically support the caliper 3 on the mount 2 at least radially and circumferentially in the disk rotor, are provided between the mount 2 and the caliper 3 without making a direct contact with the pads 5.
