TUNDISH FLUX FOR HIGH PURITY CARBON STEEL OF CONTINUOUSLY CASTING

摘要

A tundish coating agent is provided to enhance purity of steel by removing nonmetallic inclusions effectively using steel-making slag. A tundish coating agent for manufacturing high-purity carbon steel of continuous casting includes 15-25wt% of an Al dross, 5-10wt% of carbon, 5-10wt% of a soft burned dolomite, 5-10wt% of chaff, and the balance of steel making slag. The coating agent has a CaO/SiO2 ratio of 3-5 and a CaO/Al2O3 ratio of 1-3. The coating agent has a particle size ranging from 15 mm to 25 mm.
