COMMUNICATION SYSTEM USING ZIGBEE AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

A communication system using a ZigBee and its control method are provided to set or change a channel or a PAN ID without using hardware or a program. A ZigBee coordinator(14) is provided in a home appliance(10) to coordinate between the home appliance and a remote controller(20), and transmits/receives data. A ZigBee device(24) is provided in the remote controller and establishes a ZigBee communication network through communication with the ZigBee coordinator. An input unit(26) is provided in the remote controller and sets a channel and a PAN ID of the ZigBee coordinator. An install module(28) processes 802.15.4 data of a format different from a ZigBee format.
