An elevator control system and a method thereof are provided to eliminate a standby time for waiting an elevator to provide an arrival time of the elevator and thus convenience to a user. An elevator control system includes a terminal, a controller, and an elevator server. The terminal generates a call signal for an elevator. The controller receives a signal from the terminal and transmits the signal to the elevator server. The elevator server includes a communication part(310), a data transmission/reception part(320), and a main controller(330). The communication part interfaces data with the terminal through a communication network(200). The data transmission/reception part is connected to the communication part to receive date from the terminal and transmit response data to the terminal. The main controller calculates an arrival time of the elevator and transmits response information to the terminal.
