A communication device and a data transmission method are provided to prevent the load of a transfer source and prevent a transfer destination from being interfered by unnecessary reception data when it performs various operations. When a device 'A' receives FAX data, the FAX data and information obtained when the FAX(Facsimile) data is received are stored in an HDD(Hard Disk Drive). A CU(Controller Unit) of the device 'A' starts determining of conditions when the FAX data is received(S1001). A CPU(Central Processing Unit) of the device 'A' obtains the first entry with reference to a transmission candidate list registered in the HDD(S1002). The device 'A' requests transmission of a transmission initiation condition list from an address of a device 'B' and stores a transmission initiation condition list in the HDD(S1003). When there is data which corresponds to the conditions obtained when the FAX data was received, a transmission procedure is executed according to the data(S1004). When the transmission initiation conditions are all inspected, the CPU of the device 'A' reads the next entry of the transmission candidate list(S1005). The CPU of the device 'A' checks whether the next entry is a dummy candidate. If the next entry is a dummy candidate, the process is terminated.
