EDGE TRIMMING STRUCTRUE OF MAGNESIUM ALLOY COIL

An edge trimming device for a magnesium coil is provided to reduce an edge crack by trimming an edge portion of the magnesium coil before the magnesium coil is subject to a rolling process. An edge trimming device for a magnesium coil(800) comprises an uncoiler(100) around which the magnesium coil is wound, a pinch roller(200) for guiding the magnesium coil, an edge trimmer knife(300) for trimming an edge part of the magnesium coil, an edge grinder(400) for grinding a body of the magnesium coil, a deflector roller(500) and a coiler(600). The deflector roller is positioned in a moving path of the magnesium coil to exert tension to the magnesium coil such that the magnesium coil moves toward a specific direction. The body of the magnesium coil is wound around the coiler.
