<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a ceramide excellent in safety and using property from a plant raw material by a safe and simple method without using harmful extraction solvent. <P>SOLUTION: This method for producing the ceramide is provided by subjecting the plant raw material to extraction with an alcoholic organic solvent to obtain a plant extract, adsorption-treating with a sorbent, eluting the adsorbed components with an eluting solvent and then removing the solvent. The method of production can produce the ceramide excellent in safety and convenience from the plant raw material by a simple method without using harmful agents, and also it is possible to obtain simply a powder state ceramide without using any excipient in the production process. Also the ceramide obtained by the production method is safe, and also since it is excellent in using property such as having white color and being tasteless and odorless, dispersing in water easily, etc., it is possible to apply the same in wide fields such as a beverage, food, composition for an external agent, etc. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
