The invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, namely to smelting of copper-chromium steel. A method comprises the preparation of charge, which contains ferrochromium, alloying elements, steel or cast iron scrap, waste of domestic manufacture, deoxidizing agents and copper, further smelting of charge and final deoxidation of steel obtained from it. Copper is introduced the beginning of smelting of charge into 100 % volume relative to its required level in steel. Implemention of the invention provides satisfactory processibility of copper-chromium steel with concentration of carbon about 1.2 % both after roasting and after quenshing. |
