A TCP testing apparatus and a method for preparing the TCP testing apparatus are provided to shorten preparation time and to prevent outflow of a defective TCP(Tape Carrier Package). A TCP(Tape Carrier Package) testing apparatus tests a plurality of TCPs by making an input/output port of the TCP contact with a contact port of a contact part by pushing a carrier tape to the contact part connected to a test head, by transporting the carrier tape formed with a plurality of TCPs. According to the TCP testing apparatus, a first detection unit detects lot start position in the carrier tape. A transportation unit transports the carrier tape and a reader tape connected to a front part of the carrier tape. A control unit(29b) controls the operation of the transportation unit. |
