An indoor unit of an air conditioner is provided to protect a front panel from oil leaking through a refrigerant pipe joint by removing the leaking oil in an oil collecting unit, and to increase durability of the indoor unit as one part of the oil collecting unit is configured to support a refrigerant pipe and refrigerant pipe joint. An indoor unit of an air conditioner comprises a front panel, an indoor heat exchanger, a refrigerant pipe joint(162), a cabinet, and an oil collecting unit(300). The front panel forming a lower exterior of the indoor unit guides suction and discharge of indoor air. The indoor heat exchanger performs heat transfer between indoor air and refrigerant. The refrigerant pipe joint communicates the indoor heat exchanger and refrigerant pipe with each other to guide refrigerant flow. The cabinet forming a side exterior of the indoor unit, protects a plurality of components installed above the front panel. The oil collecting unit is installed one side of the cabinet to collect oil leaking through the refrigerant pipe joint.
