An optical lens, an optical module having the optical lens, and a backlight unit having the optical module are provided to decrease a thickness of the backlight unit by enhancing a color mixture and optical efficiency of the optical lens. An optical lens includes an inner curve(132) and an outer curve(140). The inner curve is formed to be exposed to an air layer therein. The inner curve asymmetrically refracts the incident beam from a point source. The point source is formed between the air layers. The outer curve is formed to be exposed to outside. The outer curve refracts the beam, which is asymmetrically refracted by the inner curve. Shapes, which are projected on cross-sections, are different from each other. The cross-sections are formed by normally cutting the optical lens along first and second directions. The first and second directions are perpendicular to each other.
