A swing control device of a swing motor installed in an excavator is provided to apply swing brake as soon as quickly by discharging pressure oil out of a swing brake release chamber of a swing drive unit after sensing that the excavator is working on a slope via sensors or manual switch operation. A swing control device of a swing motor installed in an excavator includes a swing motor(110), a pair of relief valves(111), a swing brake release chamber(121), a brake switching valve(122), a hydraulic line(K), a reduction valve(150), an electric control valve(20), and a slope boost signal unit(30). The relief valves are installed on swing operation lines(A,B) to prevent swing operation pressure from exceeding a predetermined pressure. The swing brake limits swing of the swing motor. The swing brake release chamber and a brake switching valve unlock the swing brake by receiving pressure oil. The hydraulic line connects the swing brake release chamber with the brake switching valve. The reduction valve is connected with the hydraulic line. The electric control valve includes a variable orifice, which is connected with the hydraulic line between the brake switching valve and the reduction valve to regulate the hydraulic line based on a specific signal. The slope boost signal unit outputs the signal, which is applied to the electric control valve, recognizing that the excavator is on a slope.
