A connecting structure between a steel pipe pile head and a concrete footing using a hinge cap and a construction method thereof are provided to prevent damage to the pile head and transmit horizontal force applied to the concrete footing to the pile. A construction method for a connecting structure between a steel pipe pile head and a concrete footing(3) using a hinge cap(2) includes the steps of: piling a steel pipe pile(1) under the ground; mounting a ring-like horizontal member(11) on the head of the steel pipe pile, and covering the head of the steel pipe pile with a hinge cap to allow the head of the steel pipe pile to rotate with regard to the concrete footing; and constructing the concrete footing on the hinge cap. The hinge cap is provided with a concaved part(21). When the hinge cap is mounted on the head of the steel pipe pile, the concaved part is inserted into the head of the steel pipe pile.
