ARRAY SUBSTRATE FOR LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD FOR FABRICATING THE SAME

An array substrate for an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to pattern an organic semiconductor layer, a gate insulating layer and a gate electrode as a top gate structure shape at the same time. A data line is extended toward a direction on a substrate with the defined pixel area. A source electrode is branched from the data line and a drain electrode(215) is formed separately from the source electrode. An organic semiconductor layer(221) is formed at a separate area from the ends of the source and drain electrodes. A pixel electrode(218) is contacted with the other end portion of the drain electrode and formed at the pixel area. A gate insulating layer(225) is formed on the organic semiconductor layer and has the same shape as the organic semiconductor layer. A gate insulating electrode(230) is formed on the gate insulating layer and has the same pattern shape as the gate insulating layer. The first protection layer(235) has the first contact hole for exposing the first gate electrode and the first opening portion for exposing the pixel electrode. The second protection layer has the first gate contact hole connected with the first contact hole and the second opening portion for exposing the first opening portion. A gate line is contacted with the gate electrode through the first and second contact holes and crossed with the data line.
