#CMT# #/CMT# The head has an ultrasound therapeutic transducer (2) and a membrane (3) that are mounted on a case (1), where the membrane contacts with an application surface i.e. skin (S), of a tissue (T). Temperature sensors (51, 52) are respectively arranged at the proximity of an inlet channel (41) and an outlet channel (42). The temperature sensors deliver signals representative of temperatures for establishing temperature difference of acoustic coupling liquid (L) in a chamber (4). The temperature difference indirectly determines temperature of the application surface. #CMT# : #/CMT# Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a therapeutic treatment apparatus comprising a treatment head (2) a method for sequencing activation phases of a transducer of a treatment head (3) a method for indirectly determining temperature of an application surface that is in contact with a membrane of a therapeutic treatment head. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Therapeutic treatment head for a therapeutic treatment apparatus (claimed) e.g. high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) type therapeutic treatment apparatus, for treating living tissues. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The temperature difference of the coupling liquid indirectly determines the temperature of the application surface i.e. skin, thus controlling the temperature of the skin in order to cool the skin before starting the therapeutic treatment, and hence avoiding the risk of burning. The indirect measurement of the temperature of the application surface permits detection of bad contact of the head with the application surface or bad functioning of the transducer. The configuration of the head increases the temperature difference so as to improve accuracy in the determination of the temperature. #CMT#DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS : #/CMT# The drawing shows a partial schematic view of a therapeutic treatment apparatus comprising a therapeutic treatment head associated with an electronic unit.
