PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable device capable of raising an alarm corresponding to the internal device state, typically a lack of the remaining capacitance of a battery in response to opening/closing of a lid part. SOLUTION: A CPU 1 detects flip opening/closing from a flip opening detection signal outputted from a flip opening/closing detection section 11. In response to the detection of flip opening/closing, the CPU 1 discriminates whether a battery voltage of a battery CL is lower than or equal to a preset alarm threshold value. If the battery voltage is lower than or equal to the alarm threshold value, the CPU 1 reads alarm sound effect data from a ROM 9. A sound output section 6 performs D/A conversion on the alarm sound effect data transported through an internal bus and generates effective sounds for alarm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
