<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process operation support apparatus and a process operation support method capable of effectively supporting an operation relating to a plant by extracting and providing proper information and by analyzing a current state of a process or predicting the process. <P>SOLUTION: A history storing means 31 stores history of process data of time series after correlating with a retrieval key. A retrieval means 21 retrieves the past process data from the history storing means 31 using the retrieval key responding to the current state. A predicting means 23 predicts movement of the process data based on the past process data retrieved by the retrieving means 21.
