PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the system and the method of controlling the current provided to a stepping motor. SOLUTION: Disclosed is the system and method of controlling an input current relating to a stepping motor of a liquid pump, based on prescribed torque requirement. The system can include a motor controller and a non-volatile memory storing a load torque value expected between pump cycles. The motor controller, in response to the load torque value, provides a variable current for overcoming the load torque in each point of a pumping cycle to the stepping motor. In order to change the current, an additional factor is even considered. These factors include a temperature, pressure, and elapsed operating time for operation, but these are not limited.
