PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of suppressing a fluctuation of a common potential VCOM in an effective pixel driving period and suppressing defective picture quality due to the fluctuation of the common potential VCOM without thickening a line of VCOM line, giving a layout margin only to the VCOM line and forming a line within the pixel into a matrix structure. SOLUTION: In a period (horizontal scanning period) where the precharging is not performed, the VCOM line 41 is electrically connected with a precharge line 44 by change-over switches ISW1 to ISWx of an impedance change-over circuit, low impedance of the whole VCOM line 41 including a VCOM electrode 23 and a CS line 24 is materialized and, thereby, the fluctuation of the common potential VCOM in the effective pixel driving period is suppressed.
