A scanning device is provided to improve the quality of a scanned image by effectively blocking unnecessary noise light with a noise light blocking member capable of sealing a slit between a cover and a main unit when a thick document is put on a stage glass. A scanning device main unit(10) has a stage glass(11) put on a document. A cover(20) is hinged on the scanning device main unit to open/close the stage glass. A noise light blocking unit(30) prevents noise light from entering through a slit between the cover and the stage glass. The noise light blocking unit includes a blocking member(31) ejected and inserted around the stage glass, a pressing member(33) pressing the blocking member to a direction ejecting the blocking member to the outside, a sensor(51) detecting an ejected state of the blocking member, and a display unit displaying a signal received from the sensor. The blocking member is inserted into the inside of the scanning device main unit as much as pressing the cover, and is ejected when the cover is opened. A reading module(12) is installed at a lower part of the stage glass to read out a document image in a way that the reading module can be movable within a predetermined distance. |
