A parking system for a vehicle having an automatic transmission is provided to minimize the number of planetary gear sets and maximize the shift range. A first transfer gear has a first transfer drive gear(52) and a first transfer driven gear(54). A second transfer gear has a second transfer drive gear(56) and a second transfer driven gear(58), and has a gear ratio different from that of the first transfer gear. The first and second transfer driven gears are supported by an output shaft(74). A first synchro hub(82) is spline-coupled to the output shaft, and has a first synchro sleeve(80). The first synchro sleeve is moved by a first shift fork(90), and a second synchro hub(86) is spline-coupled to the output shaft, and has a second synchro sleeve(84). The second synchro sleeve is moved by a second shift fork(92).
