PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food material, containing at least one kind of wheat bran and rice bran and wheat protein as main ingredients free from badness of a texture specific to the wheat bran or the rice bran or their mixture.

SOLUTION: The bread-like material comprises at least one kind of the wheat bran and the rice bran, wheat protein and a thickening stabilizer.
