A moving element (15) with speed reduction is active along a defined path of movement so as to trigger a function. A gearing mechanism (20) fits between the moving element and a fixed rotating attenuator (30). On one side, the gearing mechanism transfers motion in the moving element onto the rotating attenuator. On another side, the gearing mechanism carries the attenuating effect from the fixed rotating attenuator back onto the moving element and so reduces the speed of its movement.
