PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adequately cope with a temporal change of engine characteristics, a change of an operation environment, and the like, and restrain a delay of control at the time of controlling ignition timing in an ignition timing control device of an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: The device comprises a feedforward controller 52 for calculating the ignition timing according to an ignition timing model, a combustion ratio calculating means 56 for calculating a combustion ratio at an 8degATDC, a feedback controller 54 for performing compensation so that the ignition timing close to MBT by making the calculated 8degATDC combustion ratio close to 50%, and an ignition timing model learning means 58 for updating the ignition timing model so that the ignition timing calculated according to the ignition timing model is close to the MBT by learning an ignition timing close to the MBT after the feedback compensation.
