The method involves receiving a partial message of a message in an input buffer (18) and transferring the partial message into a message buffer (15). The portable data carrier has an operating system, which enables a concurrent processing of processors by the processor of the portable data carrier. The received partial message is transferred from the input buffer in to another buffer (17). The partial message is transferred into an assigned step and another partial message is transferred into the message buffer.
