摘要 An LCD device and a driving method thereof are provided to form a horizontal field between a first pixel electrode and a second field electrode to shorten a falling time, thereby increasing the response time of liquid crystal. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device(1) comprises an LCD panel, a first driving unit(200), a second driving unit(300), and a signal control unit(400). The LCD panel comprises a first substrate and a second substrate. The first substrate has a common electrode. The second substrate has a first pixel electrode and a second pixel electrode. The first pixel electrode forms a vertical field with the common electrode. The second pixel electrode forms a horizontal field with the first pixel electrode. The first driving unit drives the first pixel electrode. The second driving unit drives the second pixel electrode. The signal control unit analyzes the gradation of a current frame and a next frame, and controls the second driving unit to apply a horizontal field forming voltage to the second pixel electrode according to the analysis result.
