SOLUTION: A fluorescence microscope includes an observation condition setting means 23 for designating an observation condition; an excitation light source for generating excitation light that is irradiated on the specimen; an excitation light amount adjustment part for adjusting a light amount of the excitation light source; a fluorescence imaging part for imaging a fluorescence image at arbitrary setting exposure time by a prescribed flame rate decided, in response to the observation condition designated by the observation condition setting means 23 by receiving fluorescence of a fluorescence pigment excited by the excitation light obtained by the excitation light source; and an exposure time/excitation light amount control means 27 for controlling the exposure time of the excitation light amount adjustment part and the fluorescence imaging part so as to become close to this value obtained by calculating a necessary excitation light amount and the exposure time of the fluorescence imaging part, on the basis of a reference excitation light amount and a flame rate in imaging in the fluorescence imaging part, in order to obtain a fluorescence amount equivalent to a fluorescence amount obtained in the excitation light amount that serves as a reference.
