PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease an application quantity of a fixing solution and performing rapid fixing, in a fixing method which fixes a toner to a recording medium, by using a fixing solution that mainly uses water as solvent, and to provide a fixing solution and a toner which are used in the fixing method, and a fixing device and an image-forming device which use the fixing method. SOLUTION: The fixing method fixes a toner to a recording medium, by using a fixing solution which contains water as main component and a softening agent which softens the toner. In this case, a shift widthΔT of the toner's heat absorption shoulder is at least 30°C, when the softening agent is added at a rate of 3 wt.% with respect to a weight of the toner and DSC measurement is carried out.
