EYE MONITORING METHOD, EYE MONITOR CIRCUIT, OPTICAL RECEIVING METHOD AND OPTICAL RECEIVER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain an eye monitor circuit for detecting a signal deterioration amount due to wavelength dispersion in an optical fiber with a simple configuration.

SOLUTION: A received NRZ (Nonreturn to zero) signal amplified into constant amplitude is branched into three parts, the signals are determined with a threshold different in each branch and separately integrated, and a signal deterioration amount due to wavelength dispersion of an optical fiber transmission path is obtained on the basis of the magnitude of the entire inclinations of a line formed when enumerating respective integrated output values in a descending order or an ascending order to connecting the integrated output values.
