PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an imaging apparatus attaining facilitating of the miniaturization of an optical system as a whole, while attaining simplification of a moving mechanism, for respective groups in zooming. SOLUTION: In the imaging apparatus forming an image on an imaging device that includes, in the order starting from the object side to the image side, a first group having negative refractive power, a second group having positive refractive power and a third group that includes the imaging device; and at zooming, the first group is immobile, the second group moves to the object side and the third group moves.
