PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a sliding door from turning up when closed. SOLUTION: This turn-up stop mechanism for the sliding door comprises a turn-up stop member guide part 110A located at the terminal part of a head jamb rail 510 of the sliding door 500; a turn-up stop member 120A located in a vertically movable manner inside the turn-up stop member guide part 110A; and a screw member 140A screwed with an internal thread part 125A provided in the turn-up stop member 120A, to penetrate a through hole 115A of a lower sidewall 113A of the turn-up stop member guide part 110A and to allow the tip to penetrate in an idling manner an opening 131A of a fixed plate 130A. The turn-up stop member 120A is vertically movable along a guide mechanism provided between the inside of the turn-up stop member guide part 110A and the turn-up stop member 120A, and the tip of the screw member 140A is set to be larger in diameter than the opening 131A so as not to be detached from the opening 131A of the fixed plate 130A.
