PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of requiring work for providing a rubber-like cut-off member or cut-off part to complicate work in a conventional shield tunnel wherein the difference between the vibration mode of a concrete earth-retaining wall of a vertical shaft and the vibration mode of a tunnel wall body in an earthquake is absorbed by a base isolating layer. SOLUTION: This shield tunnel comprises a portal 3 formed in the earth retaining wall 2 of the vertical shaft 1; a cylindrical wall body (a tunnel wall body 6) of the shield tunnel formed inside the portal 3; and elastic means 9 closing a space between the inner peripheral surface of the portal and the outer peripheral surface of the wall body. The elastic means 9 is formed of a bag 12 installed between the inner peripheral surface of the portal and the outer peripheral surface of the wall body, and an elastic material 13 filled in the bag 12.
