A device for measuring a force applied to a rudder of a model ship is provided to accurately measure horizontal force and torque applied to the rudder without a relative interference. A device for measuring a force applied to a rudder of a model ship includes an X-direction force measuring unit(100), a Y-direction force measuring unit(120), and a Z-direction toque measuring unit(140). The X-direction force measuring unit measures only force applied to the rudder in an X direction. The Y-direction force measuring unit measures only force applied to the rudder in a Y direction. The Z-direction torque measuring unit measures only torque employing a Z axis as the rotation center. The X-direction force measuring unit, the Y-direction force measuring unit, and the Z-direction torque measuring unit are arranged at different positions in the Z direction on the rotational axis of the rudder. The X, Y, and Z directions are the longitudinal, width, and height directions of the model ship, respectively.
